We aim to store and use information that serves our customers and partners (such as food producers). This means we store data about customers and provide this to producers in an anonymised format (ie. We may share information about your shopping without identifying who you are) to enable food producers to better serve local customers. We also provide information about producers to customers on our online store to enable them to enjoy an enhanced shopping experience.
Your personal information
We will hold your personal information on our internal system. We go to great lengths to maintain high security for your personal information by applying known industry best practices to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, use, disclosure or loss.
We use your name, address and telephone number primarily for the purpose of delivering to you and providing a bill. We may also use your personal information in an effort to provide you an enhanced customer experience. For instance we may call you, SMS you or email you to communicate about delivery information or highlight an offer that we have reason to believe may be of interest to you. We may also keep a record of our interactions for the purposes of improving your shopping experience.
If you pause shopping with us or cancel your account, we may contact you to ask you for the reason(s). We may then store this information along with your personal information to occasionally send you communications inviting you to shop with us again when we believe we can positively meet your needs or expectations.
You can remove yourself from our mailing list at any time by telephoning, sending a letter or emailing us at any time. (see below contact details) or by clicking on the link to "unsubscribe". The circumstances we may pass on personal information that can identify you are where we are required to do so by law, in order to process your payments (see below "your bank and payment information") and to external suppliers who process data on our behalf in the UK or abroad.
Your bank and payment Information
We do not store bank details on our internal system. This information is stored on the secure server of our payment processing partner, YesPay - part of the WorldPay and Natwest Streamline group. We do not store your payment information on our own internal system as it is widely accepted to be safer for individual privacy and security to store this with a dedicated payment processing partner as per our practice.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology (recognisable by the padlock symbol in your web-browser) encrypts your details as they're transmitted between your computer and our system. This helps to ensure that your payment card details are kept private. Only the last few digits of your payment card can be seen in the wallet we show on our online store. We cannot view your full payment card information. We will never email you asking you for payment card or bank information. Please avoid falling victim to fraudulent requests by refusing to acknowledge them and reporting them to the proper authorities. Always contact us if in doubt (see below contact details).
