Devon Oke Curworthy CheeseLife 4d+*
Devon Oke takes its name from the nearby village of Okehampton. It’s an experimental offshoot of cheese maker Rachel Stephens’ flagship cheese, the Curworthy – a firm cheese originally named after the farm where she discovered her love of cheese.
Made to a recipe even older than Cheddar cheese, Devon Oke is mild and not too dissimilar to Cheddar. Firm, creamy and a bit nutty, it lingers on the palate without being overpowering. Ale lovers, this is your cheese. The nuttiness and longer flavour matches a good local brew.
