Var Salmon The Faroes

Produced amongst the Faroe Islands, 300km northwest of the Shetland Isles, this farmed Var salmon is as close as we can find in taste and texture to wild Atlantic salmon. Given sustainably caught wild Atlantic salmon is rarely available nowadays, this fish is a luxurious treat and certainly the best quality farmed smoked salmon we have encountered. The waters around The Faroe Islands are a favourite feeding ground for migrating fish from Iceland and Denmark, Finland, Ireland, and the UK as they contain such rich nourishment.

Smoked by the talented team at The Severn & Wye Smokery on the edge of The Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. This is a prolific smokery serving Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, The Ritz, The Berkeley, Claridges, The Savoy, Wheelers of St James, Bibendum to name a few.
