Bini - Authentic Indian Home Cooking Somerset

Bini Ludlow is the founder of Sweet Cumin, an authentic Indian cookery school nestled in the Somerset countryside. Learning Gujarati cooking from her mother at an early age, Bini has always had a passion for traditional Indian cuisine. After teaching cooking in secondary schools for 15 years, a visit to India to meet her extended family inspired a change in direction for Bini. She learnt about their customs, traditions and their food, broadening her knowledge and cooking skill set. Bini established Sweet Cumin so she could teach budding cooks, young and old, the skills to replicate traditional Indian cuisine at home. She now produces a range of ready-meals, prepared in her kitchen using fresh locally sourced ingredients and suitable for anyone who has a taste for spice. The dishes are made in small batches and come ready frozen; they will keep in your freezer for six months and are ideal for those days when you fancy a homemade supper without the fuss.

Bini's range of takeaway curries have been awarded Gold for three years running (2013, 2014 & 2015) by Taste of the South West. She recently received awards in the Guild of Fine Foods Great Taste 2015 for her Black Chickpea Curry, Matar Paneer and Chicken Curry, and in 2014 she was awarded two stars for her Lamb and Spinach Curry and one star for her Gujarati Toor Dhal.
