Montezuma's Sussex

Set up by two former lawyers turned chocolatiers, Helen & Simon Pattinson, Montezuma’s is a family-run business that specialises in producing handmade luxury chocolate. Founded in 2000, the Brighton-based duo now provide a wide variety of chocolate based gifts and hampers, as well as individual bars and boxes of speciality truffles.

Described by celebrity chef Rick Stein as ‘food obsession at its best’, Montezuma produces all of its chocolates by hand at its small factory in West Sussex. Its wide range of products have won numerous Great Taste Awards and include truffles, bars, fudge, cocoa powder, and even chocolate lager. Made with high-quality cocoa beans sourced from across South America, the team behind Montezuma are committed to ethical production and work solely with with Fair Trade suppliers. Of their ethics, Helen says "The ideals we started out with have stayed with us and are firmly rooted.
