Anvioro Spain

Almazara La Molina is the press where locals bring olives from their groves in and around the town of Alora in Andalucia. All of the groves are situated in a single spot right at the heart of the Valle del Sol on the slopes of Mount Hacho. A counterbalanced stone produces an unrefined olive oil grown solely with the olives from the valley.

We asked Salva at Degusta what gives the oil its unique sweetness? “The combination of the hills to the north - protecting the groves from the continental winds - and the nearby River Guadalhorce create unique climatic conditions with mild winters and warm summers. These factors together with exceptional soil geology make for ideal conditions to cultivate this type of native Manzanilla-Aloreña olive”
